Pollux Aviation is a helicopter utility and charter operator in Wasilla, Alaska. Founded in 1991, it describes itself as the largest and longest-running Robinson helicopter operator in Alaska, with service across the state from Utqiagvik on the North Slope to Adak in the Aleutians and throughout Southeast Alaska.

Maintenance and training

Pollux is a Robinson Factory Authorized Service Center and holds an FAA Part 145 repair station certificate. It says it carries the largest Robinson parts inventory in the state and that every mechanic is factory trained and certified. Flight training is offered through MatSu Heli Training, an affiliated flight school in the Mat-Su Valley.

Coverage and approach

The company serves lodges, mines, research teams and private customers, and says its service area runs statewide. Its helicopters are used for jobs such as moving guests, gear and supplies to remote lodges, lifting stranded snowmachines out of the backcountry and delivering fuel to sites with no road access. Optional tank-level monitoring is offered with remote fuel deliveries, and Pollux supplies the fuel, aircraft, equipment and personnel for those jobs.
