Pilot in Training Flight Academy

Pilot in Training Flight Academy is a flight school at Montgomery County Airpark in Gaithersburg, Maryland. The address is 7940 Airpark Road. The school was established by Slava Mordehaev, a senior flight instructor and commercial pilot. It offers flight courses, flight lessons, pilot training and introductory flights.

The school says it is a training platform built by commercial pilots for pilots. It offers online computer based training and in person training with its instructors. The site says the team includes commercial pilots, experienced instructors and designated pilot examiners.

The Part 141 private pilot ground school has 25 hours of classroom instruction. Classes are held at Montgomery County Airpark once a week for 10 weeks, from 6:30 pm to 9 pm. The site asks people to call for pricing and the next start date.

The school has a cadet program for students under 16. The site recommends a minimum age of 12. The program teaches aviation safety and a general introduction to flying. It is set up to fit school schedules and after school activities.

The introduction flight is a one time flight for a first time student. The basic option costs $145 and includes 30 minutes of briefing and 30 minutes in the airplane. The premium option costs $245 and includes one hour in the airplane. The site says these flights cannot be used for flight training.
