Nor-Ral

Nor-Ral is a composites and precision machining company in Canton, Georgia. It serves the aerospace and aircraft industries, as well as the automotive, industrial and marine industries. The site says it has served the aerospace and aviation industry since 1971.

The company has four main areas. Composite solutions cover simple to complex composite structures and assemblies, and the company says it is Nadcap certified in composite manufacturing and machining. Tooling is made in house for each application. Precision machining uses 3-axis and 5-axis machining centers to make parts, tools, models, molds and patterns in materials from plastic to titanium. Engineering supports all phases of part and tooling development for aerospace, space and marine work.

The about page says Nor-Ral supplies structural and non-structural composite parts for commercial, defense and general aviation. It uses Lean Six Sigma methods to improve quality and cut cost, and it can take on any stage of a project from concept to testing and final assembly.

The company lists these approvals and processes: a quality system registered to ISO 9001 and AS 9100, prime and paint to MIL-F-18264, composite fabrication to STP61-213, and welding to AWS D1.1 and D1.2. It also shows a repair station section.

In September 2020 Lockheed Martin named Nor-Ral an Elite Supplier for its work on the C-130J Super Hercules and F-35 Lightning II programs.
