Nexgen Aviation

NexGen Aviation is a flight school based in Lexington, Kentucky. It operates in the Bluegrass region in Lexington. The school has 15 years of experience and has logged thousands of flights. It trains future aviators who want to become commercial pilots or learn to fly for personal goals.

NexGen is a Jeppesen Part 141 Certified Flight School. The Jeppesen curriculum was developed in partnership with Boeing. This structured program is designed for efficiency and real world readiness. Students may benefit from hour reductions toward advanced certificates when training under Part 141 standards.

The school offers several training programs. These include private pilot training, an instrument add on, commercial pilot training, and instructor courses. NexGen trains students on a fleet of Diamond aircraft. The fleet includes multiple Diamond DA 40 planes and a Diamond DA 40 NG. Each aircraft is equipped with the Garmin G1000 avionics suite. The school also operates a Redbird FMX full motion flight simulator for practice. The Diamond fleet is known for fuel efficiency, stable handling, and modern composite construction.

The school uses all inclusive pricing for flight time. The hourly rate covers fuel, maintenance, and taxes. The fleet is standardized so every aircraft has the same glass cockpit layout. NexGen provides time splitting opportunities to help commercial pilot students build required hours more efficiently.

NexGen partners with the School of Aeronautics at Liberty University. Through this partnership, students can earn college credit while they complete flight training. The school also offers financing through Stratus and Edly. Maintenance is handled in house and through Thoroughbred Maintenance to limit downtime and keep training on schedule.

The school does not publish broad cost estimates online. Instead, each student receives a personalized timeline and quote after speaking one on one with an instructor. This process is meant to set clear expectations before training begins.
