About MOTION MAKERS
MOTION MAKERS GmbH makes high-speed electric motors and dyno systems for test benches, and it services electrical machines. The company is based in Göppingen-Faurndau, Germany, and also has a site in Wernigerode. It was formed when two German brands, FAURNDAU and Krebs & Aulich, joined together.
The motors are three-phase synchronous and asynchronous types. The range runs from small units of up to 55 kW and 15,000 rpm to large machines of up to 2,000 kW. One synchronous motor reaches speeds of up to 30,000 rpm. Customers use them in the automotive industry, aerospace, research and general industry, wherever precision and speed matter. The company says more than 12,500 dynos are in use worldwide.
Product lines cover drive solutions, generators, test benches and e-testing, and mass production. Dynos are used for prototype development, small series production and special custom jobs. Some motors are built for series production, such as drives for electric commercial vehicles, municipal vehicles and farm harvesting machines.
The service side looks after motors through their whole life. It does maintenance, inspection, repair and retrofit work, such as adding thermal monitoring devices and tachogenerators. It also machines parts by turning, milling, drilling and grinding. Other jobs include assembly, commissioning, conversion, and setup and teardown of electric motors. Repairs cover electrical machines of any make, size, power and speed.
The company also offers machine diagnosis, laser optical alignment, vibration measurements and operational balancing. It keeps spare and wear parts for the full life of its products and stocks third-party spare parts. It holds reconditioned replacement motors for quick swaps. Customers get open repair handling, calculable costs, detailed damage reports and no extra work without consultation. A phone line for emergency repairs is staffed day and night.
The company says it has stood for reliability for over 75 years, and its repair service is certified to ISO 9001. With offices in Detroit and Shanghai besides its German base, it supports customers worldwide. It took part in the Aerospace Test & Development Show 2026 in Toulouse.
