MFA Munich Flight Academy

MFA Munich Flight Academy is a flight school in Munich, Germany. It trains private pilots, instrument-rated pilots and future airline pilots. Theory classes run in Munich and online, and flying takes place at Augsburg airfield.

Courses

• PPL(A) private pilot licence and LAPL(A) light aircraft pilot licence
• EIR and CB-IR instrument rating, with WAAS, RNAV and RNP training
• ATPL theory as a distance learning course
• Class ratings for single-engine and multi-engine piston aircraft
• Type rating training in cooperation with partners on the Cessna Mustang C510, Cessna CJ 525, Beechcraft King Air 90 and 200, Boeing 737 NG and Airbus A320
• Renewal and revalidation of VFR and IR ratings, plus check flights for PPL, CPL, IR and ATPL
• Night rating, trial lessons and gift vouchers
• Training trips: Augsburg to Spain and Ibiza, Alps familiarisation and Elba

Distance learning

MFA is a ZFU and EASA approved distance learning school. Students can book the theory course on its own, independent of where they later do their flying, and study from home with a virtual classroom over Zoom. The school says this cuts the time spent on site for theory.

• Cessna 172 S with Garmin G1000 glass cockpit and GFC 700 autopilot
• Cirrus aircraft with the CAPS airframe parachute system
