Meravo Luftreederei Fluggesellschaft mbH

Meravo Luftreederei is a German helicopter operator based at its own helicopter landing site and maintenance base in Oedheim, near Heilbronn and about 45 km north of Stuttgart. Founded in 1961, it describes itself as one of the oldest and most experienced companies in the German helicopter industry. It also runs bases in Germany and abroad on a seasonal basis, and holds a general permit that allows landings outside approved airfields under certain conditions.

Fleet

The company reports a fleet of 25 helicopters of various types. Its fleet page presents the Airbus AS355 in the Ecureuil and Twin Ecureuil versions and the single-engine Airbus AS350.

Maintenance

All helicopters are maintained in the company's own Part 145 approved workshop, which is an approved Airbus Helicopters repair center. It also services customer helicopters and overhauls components such as turbines, modules, gearboxes, rotor blades and hydraulic cylinders, carries out non-destructive testing and holds a large stock of spare parts, especially for the AS350.

Training and simulator

The Meravo training center (licence DE.ATO.114) offers PPL(H) training on the Bell 47, with turbine training on types such as the Bell 206, EC120 or AS350 on request, plus type ratings, check flights, HESLO courses and work flight briefings. Its Airbus H125 (AS350 B3e) flight simulator has a motion platform, a 3D VR visual system and force feedback controls, and supports proficiency checks, night, mountain and emergency training.
