Maggneto
Aircraft logbook digitisation and maintenance tracking app for piston aircraft
About Maggneto
- Cirrus specialistCirrus-focused company, not an authorized service center
Maggneto is an aircraft logbook digitisation and maintenance tracking app for single and twin engine piston aircraft. Owners and mechanics photograph or upload logbooks, receipts and work orders, and Maggneto turns every page into a searchable digital record while the signed paper logbooks remain the official record of the aircraft. The product is in a private rollout and is opening to users from a waitlist.
Product
- Logbook digitisation: scanned pages are read and structured into entries, each linked to its source page
- Hobbs and tach tracking logged after each flight
- Maintenance scheduling: annuals, 100-hour inspections, ELT, transponder and pitot-static checks, oil changes and custom items tracked by date, hours or both, shown as up to date, due soon or overdue
- Digital maintenance logbook with sign-offs, costs and attachments; uploaded pages and shop invoices are read automatically with a confidence hint on each field
- Oil tracking with a burn rate in quarts per hour
- AD tracking against airframe, engine and appliances
- Components and engine tracking: time since overhaul and life limits for cylinders, magnetos, propeller and more
- Fleet view for flying clubs, flight schools and partnerships
- N-number tools: FAA registry lookup, availability checker and reservation guides
On the roadmap are plain English questions across the whole history, alerts for newly issued ADs matched to the tail number, and shared access for mechanics, partners and club members. The company states that its approach is consistent with FAA guidance on digitised maintenance records (AC 43-9D), that the owner's digital record is not the official record of the aircraft, and that the app does not certify airworthiness.
Work with Cirrus aircraft
Maggneto has a dedicated page for Cirrus SR20 and SR22 owners. It lists the items a Cirrus owner typically tracks and how the app handles each: the 10-year CAPS parachute repack as a dated item with a long-range countdown, the annual inspection, oil and filter changes counted from tach time, engine TBO for the Continental IO-550 in the SR22 and the SR20 engine, the 24-month transponder, altimeter and pitot-static checks, recurring ADs and Cirrus service bulletins, TKS anti-ice system service as a custom item, ELT inspection and battery, ship's batteries, and brakes, tyres and wear items. The page notes that intervals vary by model, year and equipment and that the aircraft's maintenance documents and mechanic are the final word.
