About London Heliport

The London Heliport in Battersea is London's only CAA-licensed heliport, on the south bank of the Thames. Planning permission was granted in 1959, and since 2012 it has been owned by the Reuben Brothers. Business flyers, charter operators and London's Air Ambulance use it.

Using the heliport

  • Open weekdays 07:30 to 19:30, weekends and bank holidays 08:00 to 18:00, and from 07:00 to 23:00 by prior arrangement
  • Landing slots must be booked in advance, and only approved pilots may land
  • The landing platform stands over the Thames; routes through the heliport's local area are for twin-engine helicopters
  • Flight times published by the heliport: Heathrow 10 minutes, Biggin Hill 10, Gatwick 20, Farnborough 20, Luton 20, London Oxford 22, Stansted 22
