Lite Enterprises

Lite Enterprises Inc. is a small American company in Gilmanton, New Hampshire, that offers the AVGuardian family of bird strike protection products. The range is designed for two groups: general aviation aircraft owners, and airports that want to keep birds away from the airfield. The company says its products are FAA approved, and that it is committed to protecting birds, aircraft and people alike.

The AVGuardian website is the company’s direct sales channel. It lists products with prices in US dollars, delivery information and manuals, and the company points out that prices can change without notice.

AVGuardian BSD-200 for airfields

The BSD-200 is a 360 degree beacon described as running around the clock to deter birds from the airfield. It is solar powered with lithium iron phosphate batteries, and it includes intelligent system monitoring and management. A winterisation kit is offered for harsh conditions, which the company says sustains performance through four to ten days of snow storms and extreme freezing temperatures. Installation can be adapted to specific bird species and to the layout of the airport, and the unit may qualify for matching funds, so buyers are told to check with their state department of transportation. Delivery is stated as within 60 days of the order date, and shipping and insurance rates are quoted on request for domestic and international orders.
