Kuerzi Avionics AG

KUERZI Aviation AG is an aviation engineering company based in Lommis, Switzerland. It offers engineering, production, installation and maintenance across the whole product life cycle of a component or electrical system. It develops single components up to flight critical equipment certified to design assurance level A.

The company can cover environmental testing to DO-160 and software certification to DO-178C. It holds EASA Part 21J design and Part 21G production approvals and a Part 145 maintenance approval. The organization is certified to ISO 9001:2015 and has test flight privileges. Its Part 145 approval allows it to issue dual release Form 1 under EASA and FAA rules.

Products include utility control units, data concentrators, power solutions, displays and EMS lights that are NVIS compliant. Flight critical equipment from the company is installed in the Pilatus PC-12 NGX. The company also works with aircraft makers to provide complete systems.

Data packages include minor change approvals and supplemental type certificates. Engineering services cover aircraft sub systems for OEMs, components and items, and design organization work. Production and component maintenance services complete the offering.

KUERZI Aviation started in 1978 with avionics maintenance and engineering services. It received its Part 145 approval in 2007, followed by the EASA Part 21J privilege. In 2008 it added the Part 21G privilege and became an electrical system provider for the emergency medical industry.

In 2021 KUERZI Aviation and Emca Electronic joined forces. Emca Electronic AG is the parent company, and it has designed, developed, manufactured and maintained avionic equipment since 1979. Since 2021, KUERZI has developed new utility control units, data concentrators and power solutions, and it has extended its EMS solutions into new platforms.

The company has three centres of excellence. System integration is based at Lommis, components production is at Kastanienbaum, and components engineering is also in Kastanienbaum. Its engineering, production and maintenance services serve aircraft OEMs and operators.
