KarbonMRO

KarbonMRO is a maintenance, repair and overhaul company in Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia. It was set up to support the aviation industry's move toward lower carbon and more sustainable flying.

The company is part of the Dviation Group. It says it builds on the group's more than ten years of work in MRO. Its core work is engineering and maintenance for current and next generation commercial jets. It describes its technicians as skilled and factory trained. Its stated aim is to help the industry reach net zero emissions by 2050. Its vision is to enable the future of air mobility.

KarbonMRO runs three sites in Selangor. The head office is in Shah Alam. A hangar at Skypark RAC, also in Shah Alam, handles airframe work. The engine shop is in the Rawang Indah Industrial Park in Rawang.

Karbon Engine Services, or KES, looks after engines and APUs. It lists a niche skill with CFM56 engines and offers end-of-life solutions across the life of an engine. Its work is split into three tiers. Tier 1 is general maintenance, such as incoming inspection, borescope inspection and reports, lease return inspection, quick engine change kit removal and installation, inventory checks, records and storage. Tier 2 is minor maintenance, such as removing and fitting components, external engine repairs, top case repairs, blend repairs and external compliance with directives and bulletins. Tier 3 is engine teardown, which covers removal and disassembly of modules and sub-modules, and sourcing of piece part repairs.

In December 2025 the company announced that it had secured FAA repair station approval. In September 2025 it announced an alliance with partners in four countries across Asia-Pacific. The Dviation Group has also reported an investment by Marubeni Corporation in 2023. It formed a new company with ACI Groupe France called ACI Pacific (Malaysia).
