CNS and ATM systems and airport infrastructure, Montreal, Canada
About Intelcan Technosystems
Intelcan Technosystems is a Canadian company headquartered in Montreal. It has been in business since 1973. It provides communication, navigation, surveillance and air traffic management equipment to airports and air navigation service providers, along with airport infrastructure.
The company says it is both a product manufacturer and a system integrator. This allows it to deliver turnkey solutions and bring a manufacturer's expertise directly to end users. The website says its equipment is deployed in more than 60 countries. Its solutions follow Eurocontrol and ICAO regulations and are developed at ISO 9001:2015 certified locations in Canada.
The SKYNAV instrument landing system is a solid state system. It can be configured for CAT I, II or III and offers 10 to 34 antenna element options. It works in single or dual frequency modes and includes enhanced built in test equipment. The SKYNAV DME comes in approach, en route and standalone versions.
The ADS-B base station receives messages broadcast by aircraft, drones and vehicles. It sends position and status reports to air traffic management systems. The company says the station offers cross redundancy in one chassis for high continuity of service.
SKYCONTROL is an air traffic management software suite for ACC, oceanic, approach, terminal and tower environments. It includes multi radar tracking, automated flight plan processing, conflict alerts, electronic flight strips and a simulator for training and backup.
Other products include DATIS, which broadcasts weather and safety information to pilots, and AMHS, which handles ground to ground messages such as NOTAMs and flight plans. RCMS is a web based system that lets airport maintenance staff monitor navaids, radars, radios and power systems from one place.
Recent projects include CAT IIIB navaids for Kuwait International Airport, an ATM tracker for Indonesia's aviation authority, an ADS-B system for INVAP in Argentina, and an ADS-B and VHF station on an offshore platform off Guyana. The website says the company was awarded Exporter of the Year by Ottawa Business Achievement.
