IMST

IMST is an engineering company and system house in Kamp-Lintfort, Germany. It works on radio systems, chip design, antennas and EDA software. The name stands for Inspiring Mobile and Satellite Communication Technology. The company has been active since 1992.

IMST says it supports clients from the first feasibility study through product design, development and series production. It also offers an accredited test laboratory for product approvals. It helps make sure products meet international rules. Its services are for business customers only.

In chip design, IMST works on ASIC and ASSP chips, MMIC circuits and millimetre-wave SiGe designs. Its antenna team uses simulation-based design and checks results by measurement. It also builds hybrid circuits and LTCC circuits and cases. System work covers high-frequency circuits, digital circuits and software. A measuring systems line focuses on accuracy and scale.

Communication solutions cover mobile, satellite and short range radio links. IMST also has a space line. In April 2026 it showed a new wideband transceiver chip prototype for space and communications at the European Space Agency. The chip was made in Germany.

For aviation, IMST has a project called CatchUp. It aims to give safe and precise VTOL landings for advanced air mobility. The system uses radar, radio communication and ground systems.

The company also sells its own products. EMPIRE XPU is EDA software for electromagnetic simulation, and EM Twin simulates digital antenna twins. The Wireless Solutions line covers radio modules, and Sentire Radar is a radar product. IMST also supports an ASIC supply chain. Its service range includes consulting and support, a test centre, LTCC production and development services. In 2026 the company joined the mioty alliance, which works on energy efficient IoT communication.
