Haynes Boone is a law firm with more than 20 offices. The firm lists locations in cities across the United States, including Austin, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Houston, New York, San Francisco and Washington, D.C. It also has offices in London, Mexico City and Shanghai.

The firm works across many practice areas. Its recent news covers corporate and fund finance, derivatives, employee benefits and executive compensation, real estate, intellectual property, litigation, white collar investigations, data centers and mining. Its practice groups publish alerts, newsletters, blogs and a podcast series.

The Trademark and Advertising Practice Group protects and enforces client marks. Its work includes international clearance and enforcement, global trademark prosecution, oppositions and cancellations, advertising review, trademark and unfair competition litigation, domain name disputes and social media counseling. In October 2026 the New York office added a partner who handles advertising disputes, regulatory investigations and matters brought by the Federal Trade Commission and state attorneys general.

The firm also runs a Crisis Management Practice Group, started in 2022. Its lawyers handle incidents such as oil and gas explosions, workplace injuries, cyberattacks, fallen wind turbines and local or national disasters. Its litigators handle high-exposure tort defense and jury trials. A recent trial for ExxonMobil in a refinery property damage case ended with a directed verdict.

Recent deal work includes advice to Arcosa on employee benefits and executive compensation matters in its $8.5 billion sale to CRH. The firm has also set up a UK derivatives platform in London, led by a new chair who strengthens its structured finance, derivatives and trading work.

The New York office is the second largest in the firm, and it has added several partners this year. In San Diego, the firm opened an office to expand its California presence in the life sciences market. Its alerts also cover current topics such as fund finance, corporate enforcement, SEC compliance reviews and generative AI in medical devices.
