GDC Middle East

GDC Middle East is a Saudi aircraft engineering company with its head office in Riyadh. It was set up in 2015. The Public Investment Fund owns 80 percent and Ajwa Aviation Holdings owns the other 20 percent.

The company works in aviation and defence. It offers solutions for aviation systems, operations and support. It says it can keep aircraft maintained to high quality and safety standards. It aims to meet the technical needs and global rules of both the aviation and defence sectors.

GDC Middle East focuses on three areas of the Saudi aviation industry. The first is comprehensive solutions. This covers ways to improve and extend the working life of aircraft systems. It also covers development and preparation work for systems and aircraft. The company develops, updates and integrates mission systems, and carries out testing for the stage before an aircraft enters service.

The second area is operation. The company prepares and operates aircraft and flights for assigned tasks. It does routine maintenance and overhaul of fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters. It also supplies spare parts, consumables and ground support equipment.

The third area is aerospace engineering. The team supports aviation safety and airworthiness. It provides engineering solutions for aviation systems with up-to-date software. It prepares engineering designs and licences for aircraft. It also writes and updates technical manuals and engineering references, trains engineers and supplies certified engineers and technicians in many specialities.

Fixed-wing types include the C-130, the Cessna 550 Bravo, the King Air 350 and a King Air ISR version. The company also shows its licences and certificates, including one from the General Authority of Civil Aviation. It says it wants to support Saudi Vision 2030 through development programmes.
