GAT German Aviation Training

GAT, German Aviation Training, is a German provider of radiotelephony certificate training and ICAO language proficiency testing for pilots, based at Max-Planck-Strasse 22 in Gomaringen, Baden-Wuerttemberg. For more than five years it has offered the complete package of AZF, BZF and ICAO preparation from a single provider, combining software, seminars and training both online and in person so that candidates can assemble their own preparation and examination package with support from the GAT team. The company describes itself as the youngest team on the market, bringing fresh ideas to established structures.

Courses and examinations

• Preparation for the BZF II, BZF I and AZF radiotelephony certificate examinations taken at the German Federal Network Agency (Bundesnetzagentur), with practical training, experienced trainers and realistic radio exercises for both beginners and those refreshing their knowledge
• ICAO English language proficiency tests at levels 4, 5 and 6, taken online by video conference with professional examiners and flexible appointment choice
• Individual online training for the ICAO language test that builds listening comprehension, fluency, aviation vocabulary and confidence in typical cockpit situations, including emergency communication
• Targeted refresher courses for radio communication, and discounts for flying clubs and larger groups
