Flying Pictures

Flying Pictures is an aerial filming company with its head office at West 12 Studios in Shepherd's Bush, west London, and further UK offices in Winchester and Sheffield, plus offices in Lyon, Nashville and Los Angeles. It films from helicopters for feature films, television, commercials and live broadcast. Rather than keeping one fixed fleet, it sources a suitable helicopter close to each filming location and sends its own pilots and camera crews. It supplies helicopter mounted gimbal systems, heavy lift drones, camera tracking vehicles and a 40 foot filming boat called Cambria for work on water. Cameras available include the Sony Venice 2, ARRI Alexa Mini, LF and 35, RED Raptor and ARRI 416 and 435 film cameras. Production teams in London can contact the office by phone or email to plan helicopter shoots over the city, along the Thames or anywhere in the UK and abroad.
