Flying First

Flying First BV is an aviation training support company. The website says it makes manuals for private pilot theory training. The text is in English and the site links to Belgian aviation authority pages.

Its first books were Dutch theory manuals for the PPL(A) private pilot course for aircraft. The company says a helicopter PPL(H) course is planned for the future. The books are now also translated into English and are on sale. The manuals meet the learning objectives of EASA Part FCL.

The company's history starts in 2019, when authors were recruited to write the full set of PPL(A) theory books. Flying First BV was set up in 2020 to manage the manuals. In 2021 the learning objectives for PPL were worked out in detail, covering modern technology, safety and threat and error management, and sent to EASA as a proposal. The manuals were changed to match.

In 2025 the Dutch and English manuals moved to a platform called Webmanuals. This gave them a new layout. The courses were reviewed during the move and the books now carry new branding.

The company says it plans to keep its products in line with the newest rules, as regulations change often. It also provides made to order services on request. The website has an online shop with a basket and checkout, an eBook preview and links to the Belgian civil aviation directorate and EASA regulations.
