FLT Academy

FLT Academy is a flight school in Utah with two campuses: Skypark Airport (KBTF) in Woods Cross, ten minutes north of Salt Lake City, and Spanish Fork Airport in Utah County. It says it is the largest flight school in Utah for professional pilots.

Training

Examining Authority

FLT Academy holds FAA Part 141 Examining Authority for the Private Pilot, Instrument Rating, Commercial Pilot and CFI courses. Students can complete their checkrides in house instead of waiting for a designated pilot examiner.

SkyWest partnership

Through its partnership with SkyWest Airlines, students can join the SkyWest Pilot Pathway Program from their first day of training. Cadet benefits listed on the site include a priority hiring agreement, an enhanced seniority number and a guaranteed interview once airline requirements are met.

The school says it has Utah's largest flight school fleet, an in house maintenance team and a low instructor to student ratio of about 1:4 to 1:5. Aircraft are inspected every 50 and 100 hours.
