Etihad Airways Engineering is an aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) provider. It is based next to Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The company says it is the largest commercial aircraft MRO services provider in the Middle East. Its team has around 2,000 professionals from more than 50 nations. Its main work supports Etihad Airways, and it also serves third party customers.

Airframe services cover routine maintenance, heavy checks and major structural repairs. They also include cabin modifications, retrofits, connectivity embodiments and major OEM modifications. The company also offers aircraft damage recovery. Its website says it has strong OEM representation onsite. The company works on newer aircraft types, including the Airbus A380 and the Boeing 787.

Cabin services include cabin maintenance, repair and overhaul. They cover refurbishment and configuration to customer specifications. The work also includes trim panel covering and carpet fabrication. Galleys, toilets, sidewalls, monuments and inflight entertainment equipment are maintained and modified. The company also repairs plastic parts, cockpit and passenger seats, and replaces leather seat covers. It makes internal and external placards and decals.

Painting services include aircraft liveries on multiple aircraft types, including new platforms. The company makes large decals in house. Component services offer test, repair and overhaul for most modern commercial aircraft components. This work runs through onsite component shops spread over 6,000 square metres. The shops cover more than 5,000 part numbers for Airbus and Boeing aircraft.

The Design, Engineering and Innovation team drives design and engineering solutions for Etihad and third party customers. It has delivered major modifications and complex retrofit programs. It also gives 24/7 technical support to light and heavy maintenance teams. The company runs technical training as an approved organization under UAE GCAA CAR 147 and EASA Part 147, with courses for most modern commercial aircraft.

Aircraft types serviced include Airbus A319, A320, A321, A330, A340, A350 and A380. Boeing types include the 737, 767, 777 and 787, and capability for the Boeing 777X is being built. Approvals include EASA design, production and maintenance organization approvals, and an FAA repair station certificate. The company says it was the first organization in the Middle East to hold an extended EASA Part 21J design approval for major cabin design and modification.
