DSA

DSA a.s. is a Czech aviation company that has been active in the aviation market since 1992. From 1993 its main programme was aviation for the Czech health system, from repatriation flights to running an air rescue service. Today it combines several aviation businesses under one roof.

Helicopter emergency medical service is one of the company's main activities. DSA runs six air rescue stations, and three of them operate 24 hours a day. Its crews can be airborne within 180 seconds of a call.

DSA also runs a flight school. The company describes it as the largest flight school in the Czech Republic, training aeroplane and helicopter pilots from PPL to ATPL. Technician training for aeroplanes and helicopters is offered both in person and online, covering everything from small piston aircraft to large turboshaft helicopters and jets.

Aircraft maintenance covers helicopters, business jets and piston aircraft. Work includes modifications and modernisation through the company's own design organisation, continuing airworthiness management under its CAMO, structural repairs, and the sale and repair of spare parts. An AOG service runs around the clock for aircraft that are grounded and need urgent help.

Air taxi flights by aeroplane or helicopter serve business travellers who want to avoid crowded schedules. Aerial work includes lifting loads of up to 1,300 kilograms, helicopter firefighting and support for film productions. The company uses its own aircraft for air transport in the Czech Republic and abroad.

The company also has a dedicated Enstrom helicopter section. It handles aircraft from this manufacturer as part of its wider aviation services.

DSA's approvals include an air operator certificate for commercial air transport, a Part 145 maintenance approval, a CAMO approval, a Part 147 training approval and an EASA design organisation approval. The company has also held an ISO 9001 quality certificate since 2002. Its management system covers air rescue, passenger and cargo transport, aerial work, flight training and aircraft maintenance.
