DL Droni

DL Droni is a professional drone operator in Italy that carries out topographic surveys, thermography and automated drone operations. The company is registered in Piadena Drizzona. It has worked with businesses and public bodies since 2017.

The company handles routine surveys and jobs that have not been done before in the same organised way. It also takes on complex scenes where ENAC, the Italian civil aviation authority, must give approval before any flight. It holds 28 operational authorisations. For the hardest cases, such as automated docks and BVLOS flights, it already has generic authorisations in place and says it can start in a few weeks.

Its topographic surveys turn drone data into point clouds and CAD files that are ready for design work. Its thermography finds faults, for example on solar plants, before they become failures. The company has a certified level two thermographer. For automated operations, it uses DJI Dock systems to run recurring inspections and monitoring without a pilot travelling to site each time.

DL Droni also advises on aviation rules and permits. It helps clients go from an idea to an ENAC authorisation, including SORA risk analysis and PDRA, and it manages the process with the authority. It offers drone cargo transport for places where normal vehicles struggle. It runs training courses on piloting and regulations, led by people with real field experience.

The company has several firsts. It won its first operational authorisation in 2021, which was the second ever issued in Italy. In 2023 it became the first in Italy to fly drone operations on an active airport site, at Fiumicino, in the ENAC sandbox opened by UrbanV. In 2025 it won ENAC authorisations for automated operations with Dock 2 and Dock 3. In 2026 it updated its brand and visual identity.

For airports and other sensitive areas, DL Droni uses geo-fencing and anti-collision systems. It keeps close contact with control towers and airport authorities and does a risk analysis before each job. It is ISO 9001 certified and keeps full health and safety records, including training and certificates. Drone surveys bring faster data capture, lower cost on large areas, safer work and repeatable results.
