About Delta Infinite

Delta Infinite is a space company in Denver, Colorado. The site says it was founded in 2022. It is developing a two part reactive foam that slows a tumbling object in orbit and leaves a surface that a standard grapple can grip.

The company says most objects in space tumble and almost nothing can catch them. Rigid capture systems work only on targets that spin at about three to five degrees per second. Recently failed satellites can spin at three to eight degrees per second, and old derelict objects can spin much faster.

The planned system has three steps. First, the foam is deployed onto the target. Next, it expands and cures in vacuum, which adds mass far from the spin axis and uses up spin energy. Last, a slower and steadier object is left with a surface for capture systems to hold.

The site gives its status as technology readiness level 3, working toward level 4. In 2024 it completed a first vacuum foam deployment test using a commercial analog foam. It has also modeled capture dynamics in house and written a thermal vacuum test plan.

The company says its first aim is servicing and removing objects in Earth orbit, with asteroid resources as a long term goal. The website has a contact form for investors, operators, program offices and researchers.
