Coretronic Intelligent Robotics

Coretronic Intelligent Robotics designs and builds drones, gimbal cameras, ground control stations and autonomous mobile robots at its headquarters in Hsinchu, Taiwan. The company is also known as CIRC. It is a subsidiary of the Coretronic group.

CIRC is a start-up formed by a group of robotics experts. It offers design and manufacturing services on an ODM and OEM basis. Customers can order drones, gimbal cameras, ground control stations and autonomous mobile robots, known as AMRs. The company says its products are NDAA ready and 100 percent made in Taiwan.

Its unmanned vehicle range includes commercial drone solutions and AMR solutions. It also makes UAV peripherals. These include ground control stations, called the GCS7 and GCS5, and an edge AI payload. The company has expanded into these items because of its knowledge of robotics applications.

CIRC lists three main drone uses. Autonomous aerial patrol deploys missions on its own to improve working efficiency. Intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance covers monitoring tasks. AI inspection covers outdoor inspection work. It also shows an autonomous forklift as an AMR application.

The company puts its research effort into flight control, AI computing, reliable radio communication, propulsion and sensor fusion. It also develops gimbal cameras and ground control systems. The goal is hardware and software that give pilots safer flights, reliable real-time judgement and easy operation across different missions.

CIRC says it is the first professional drone maker in Taiwan to qualify as a vendor for an ODM customer in the United States. It has two manufacturing sites. Both build drones, gimbal cameras, ground control systems and AMRs. Together they can produce 54,200 units. The company uses a closed-loop quality management system. It checks quality from the design stage and uses detailed test and verification plans for each part and each production lot.

Besides its Taiwan headquarters, CIRC has a European office in Hemel Hempstead, United Kingdom, and an office in Tokyo, Japan. Its website is available in Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese and English.
