Avix Technology

Avix Technology designs and builds unmanned aircraft systems and the parts that go in them. The company is based in Taiwan and was founded in 2011. It makes complete drones and also sells subsystems such as gimbals, ground stations and servos. Its work is highly customized for each client.

The full system range includes the AXH unmanned helicopter and the AXM unmanned multirotor. The gimbal series offers camera systems for inspection, border patrol and defense surveillance. The power system series supplies modules that give drones steady energy in different conditions. The ground station series has integrated control stations in a honeycomb casing made to military standards. The communication series carries data and video over dual-band wireless links. The servo series gives drone parts fast and precise movement.

Avix serves both commercial and military customers. Government clients in Taiwan include the Coast Guard, the fire services and the Ministry of National Defense. Their systems support disaster relief, coastal surveillance and military work. Defense uses include reconnaissance, surveillance and tactical support. Search and rescue teams use the drones for real-time response after disasters.

Commercial uses cover coastal surveillance, tower inspections, mineral exploration and maritime research. An Australian survey company flew Avix drones carrying a heavy magnetic sensor in the desert. The drones flew six to eight hours a day for up to eight days in a row. The company has also supported scientific research in the Gulf of Mexico and has operations in Canada and South Korea. In 2024 its AXH-E230 unmanned helicopter reached 5,200 meters in test flights in the Himalayas.

Avix also offers flight training for operators. Courses cover basic and advanced flying skills and maintenance procedures, and trainees practice in real conditions. The company supports its systems from training and maintenance through to turnkey services. It works with global partners to transfer technology and enter new markets.

Avix says all of its parts are made in Taiwan. The company holds ISO 9001 quality management certification. It has also earned a type certification and has long-term cooperation with government agencies. It has shown its products at the Taipei Aerospace and Defense Technology Exhibition.
