Charlatte America

Charlatte America is the North American arm of Charlatte, a member of the Fayat Group, which makes battery powered vehicles for airport ramps. The American company was created in 1993 and works from Bluefield, Virginia, where it provides engineering and technical support for all Charlatte equipment in North America. The group has factories in Brienon, France, Bluefield, Virginia and Crawley, West Sussex, in the United Kingdom, and says its brand has been active for more than 50 years.

• Electric baggage and cargo tractors: the CT5E (30 hp AC motor, 5,000 lb drawbar capacity, up to 20 mph empty), the CT6E (50 hp, 6,000 lb drawbar capacity) and the T137 PRO and T137-V3 (4,000 lb drawbar pull, up to 18 mph)
• CT5G gasoline baggage and cargo tractor with a 5,000 lb drawbar pull
• TE.208 compact electric tow tractor, with over 1,000 units reported in service
• PE80 electric flatbed tractor, rated to tow 8 tons with a range of about 25 miles
• CFB2000 electric inter-line baggage tractor, rated to tow 17,600 lbs
• Aircraft pushback tractors, belt loaders, maintenance utility carriers and lavatory trucks

• Spare parts are stocked at each location, and the company says 98 percent of spare parts needs ship within 24 hours
• Service technicians can be sent to customer sites worldwide
• Classroom training at Charlatte facilities or at the customer site
• Help with vehicle selection, using models that predict vehicle performance and range for a given application
