BIOPAP S.r.l. Società Benefit

BIOPAP S.r.l. Società Benefit is an Italian company that makes compostable food packaging. Its trays, plates, wrapping paper and bowls are made from renewable, non-food, biodegradable raw materials. The site says the company started about 25 years ago.

The company's product lines include BIOPAP LP trays, BIOPAP LC trays, BIOPAP RE retail trays and BIOPAP Wrap wrapping paper. It also sells compostable disposable plates and a bowl for new recipes.

The site says the packaging can move from the freezer to all kinds of ovens. It says the trays suit cook and chill, cook and freeze, and cook and serve processes. The trays are described as resistant to extreme temperatures.

Airline food packaging is one of the application areas on the site. Other areas listed are school, hospital and corporate catering, ready-made meals, meal delivery, retail deli counters, and air and rail catering.

The company says its plants produce no CO2 emissions and use renewable electricity, mainly from its own solar plants. It says its supply chain is European. The site also says its buildings use natural and recyclable materials.

The site has a product catalogue, product certificates, awards, an impact report and a sustainability section. Its contact page lists a phone number, +39 02 48929991, and a contact form. The site is available in English, French, German and Italian.
