Beo Helicopter AG

BEO Helicopter AG is a Swiss helicopter company founded in 2016 and based in Lauterbrunnen, in the Bernese Oberland. It describes mountain flying as its core competence and offers two main lines of work: scenic flights for visitors and transport and work flights for customers in the mountains. The company says safety comes first and that the experience of its employees plays a central role in meeting that aim.

Scenic flights

• Routes of 15, 20 and 30 minutes around the Eiger, Moench and Jungfrau
• Individual scenic flights elsewhere in the region and across Switzerland, put together on request
• Skydiving flights in cooperation with a partner company
• Heliskiing with mountain guides from the region
• Special flights with a lunch stop at the Jungfraujoch, including a personal tour by the pilot and a table reservation arranged by the company

Transport and work flights

BEO Helicopter moves building material, components, cables and pipes to places that are hard to reach or have no road. It also flies construction machinery such as excavators. If a machine is heavier than the helicopter can lift, it is taken apart and put back together in the air. The crew says it specialises in heavy, long and bulky loads.

• General material transport, including timber, concrete, gravel and hay
• Work flights for forestry, construction and assembly jobs
• Supply flights to mountain huts, mountain restaurants and alpine farms, carrying food, drinks and animal feed
• Taxi flights
• Alpine animal rescue flights
