Avy

Avy BV is an Amsterdam company that designs, builds and flies long-range drones for ports, energy, defense, emergency services and critical infrastructure. Its system combines the Aera fixed-wing VTOL drone, an autonomous dock and a software platform, so drones can launch and recharge without crew on site and be managed from one control center. The company says it has flown drones since 2016.

Services

Avy also operates its own aircraft for clients across Europe as a flight service, and runs proof of concept programmes. Use cases include drone-as-first-responder for emergency services, automated remote monitoring and intelligent surveillance.

Customers and partners

Organisations flying with Avy include the Port of Rotterdam (since 2021), the Dutch fire service and the Royal Netherlands Navy. Recent news on its site covers Citymesh deploying Aera with four Belgian coastal police zones and partnerships with Coptrz in the UK and Dilectro Enterprise in Poland. Avy took part in the NATO maritime exercise REPMUS in 2025.
