About Aircraft Info Desk
Aircraft Info Desk, or AID, is cloud software for the flight operations of flight schools and air sports clubs. It is made by AviationDataServices GmbH in Wedemark, Germany. The software is made in Germany, runs on servers in Germany and follows GDPR rules. The company says it has offered its service for 23 years.
The company reports 30,000 registered users, 1,600 aircraft and more than 2,500 current student files on the system.
For approved training organisations, AID has a manager for ATOs and DTOs. It supports phase-based training, deadline monitoring and electronic student records. Schools can be ready for audits at the press of a button. A similar tool serves ultralight flight schools. It helps staff keep track of student progress and use the fleet well.
For flying clubs, AID helps share the club fleet fairly among members. Clubs can send news by notice board, newsletter or text message and offer files for download. AID automates the billing of flight fees. A project tool helps clubs organise work hours and other club tasks.
The software is built in modules. A licence module checks pilot and instructor licences when a flight is booked and warns when a permit is about to end. Other modules cover flight duty and rest time statistics, a safety management workflow and document storage for manuals and scans. Booking planning uses reservation rules for fair sharing, and a waiting list tells pilots when a wanted slot opens. An online flight log feeds billing, including approach, departure, DFS and landing fees. It can also take flight data from Charterware. AID tracks aircraft availability and remaining hours, and it links the maintenance workshop and the CAMO to the flight operation. It also has an events and duty roster tool and a board for finding seat sharers. The system works in German and English.
AID works with partners such as aeroPS, ASA Software, capzlog.aero, Charterware, Cloudlog, DWD, Exact Online, open flightmaps and sevDesk. The company offers a live demo.
