About Aircraft Engineering Consultancy and Training

AeCAT is a Part 147 approved training organisation based in Peterborough, England. The website says it is approved under both EASA and UK CAA rules. It provides training and consultancy support to the aviation industry worldwide.

The company offers airframe, engine, and avionics courses. These range from general familiarisation to fully approved B1 and B2 training, in both theory and practical form. The site also lists refresher courses and engine run up courses.

Type training gives an approved standard of knowledge of the aircraft and its systems, to the levels required in EASA Part 66 Annex III. It includes theory, simulator practice, and real world experience. General familiarisation courses are aimed at management and general staff, and are not Part 147 courses.

The website lists training for many aircraft. These include the ATR 42 and ATR 72 series, the De Havilland DHC-6, the Bombardier CRJ 100 and 200, CRJ 700, 900, and 1000, and the DHC-8 series. It also covers the Embraer EMB-135 and 145, the ERJ 170 and 190, the Phenom 100 and 300, the EMB-545 and 550, and the E2 jets.

The consultancy side covers Part 145 consultancy and audits. This includes developing a maintenance organisation exposition and adding new aircraft types. Part 147 consultancy covers training organisation expositions, training manuals, question banks, and quality audits. Learning and development consultancy includes capability audits, competency mapping, and bespoke e-learning or classroom courses.

The course calendar lists upcoming courses, including combined B1 and B2 courses in Uganda, Munich, and Nairobi, along with virtual sessions. The site has a course catalogue, a virtual classroom, and a subscription option for course notifications. Office hours are Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.

The website links each aircraft type to its course catalogue entry, and a training request form lets visitors ask for training on a specific course. The news page is linked from the main menu.
