About Adamant Composites

Adamant Composites is a Greek technology company that works with advanced materials and structures. It was founded in 2012. Its work serves space, industrial materials and energy.

Researchers and engineers with international experience set up the company during a deep economic crisis. Their skills covered nanotechnology, processing of composites and polymers, and the mechanical design and analysis of space systems and structures.

The company has done work for the European Space Agency since 2013. The first job was on nano-enabling of composites. In 2014 it worked on deployable structures. In 2015 it started on additive manufacturing and graphene. In 2016 it won its first contract to support an ESA mission, which was ground support equipment for the JUICE spacecraft. In 2019 it took on an ESA activity on integrated sandwich panels with high thermal and electrical properties.

Adamant has also run industrial pilot work. In 2015 it began piloting nano-enabled composites through the European Commission H2020 project PLATFORM. In 2017 it showed nano-enabled composites in a down-to-earth demonstration. It joined a second H2020 project, MMAMA, which looks at quality control of a prepreg pilot line with microwave microscopy. In 2019 it ran a similar demonstration for nano-enabled adhesives.

The company sells two products of its own. FXply prepregs and a related service came out in 2016. The FXbond adhesive came out in 2018. In 2016 the company moved into an industrial site of 1,100 square metres.

Adamant holds EN ISO 9001:2015 certification. It first certified to ISO 9001:2008 in 2015 and moved to the 2015 standard in 2018. Its quality policy puts client satisfaction first. The company says it grows by 25 percent a year.

The company wants to build a modern manufacturing hub in Greece for space and high-tech industries. It lists offices in Greece and in Cambridge, England, and has pages for news and careers.
