JetSetGo Partners with SkyDrive and Eve Air Mobility to Pioneer Urban Air Mobility in India

JetSetGo, a leading chartered aircraft and fleet services operator, has taken a significant step toward transforming India’s transportation landscape by forming strategic partnerships with EVTOL technology firms SkyDrive and Eve Air Mobility.

These collaborations, announced at the ongoing Urban Air Mobility Expo and Conference—part of the CII-organized Bharat Global Mobility Show—aim to accelerate the development and deployment of Urban Air Mobility (UAM) services across the country.

Groundbreaking Partnerships for a New Era in Mobility

As part of its agreement with SkyDrive, JetSetGo has signed an initial pact to explore opportunities for deploying eVTOL (electric Vertical Take-Off and Landing) aircraft. The partnership also includes a Letter of Intent (LOI) for the pre-order of up to 50 aircraft, marking a significant commitment to advancing urban air mobility in India. This collaboration will help validate use cases and market demand, with the first projects set to launch in Gujarat, followed by potential expansion to other regions.

In addition to this, JetSetGo has also entered into a partnership with Eve Air Mobility, focusing on integrating Eve’s advanced urban air traffic management (UATM) solution, Vector, into JetSetGo’s future fleet of eVTOLs. This integration is poised to optimize the management of air traffic in urban environments, enhancing the efficiency and safety of eVTOL operations.

A Vision for Sustainable and Efficient Urban Mobility

JetSetGo’s commitment to UAM is underlined by a significant deal it signed earlier this year. The company secured an agreement for 280 hybrid-electric aircraft, with 130 on option, valued at over USD 1.3 billion.

This deal involves collaborations with global aviation tech companies Electra.aero, Horizon Aircraft, and Overair. The fleet of hybrid-electric aircraft will primarily serve for airport transfers and regional connectivity, further solidifying JetSetGo’s ambition to revolutionize urban transportation.

Jonathan Sumner, Chief Strategy Officer of JetSetGo, emphasized the transformative potential of UAM, describing it as a means to build a completely new transport ecosystem within cities. This, he believes, will not only enhance mobility but also drive economic growth and provide significant social benefits. “Urban air mobility is about creating a future where air transport becomes an everyday solution for millions of people,” Sumner said.

A Future-Ready Vision for Indian Aviation

As India positions itself to lead the way in UAM, JetSetGo’s strategic partnerships with SkyDrive and Eve Air Mobility represent crucial steps toward integrating cutting-edge aviation technologies into the country’s transportation infrastructure. With plans for expansion and the deployment of advanced aircraft, the company is set to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of aviation in India.

By creating an ecosystem that blends innovation with sustainability, JetSetGo aims to redefine urban mobility, contributing to a more efficient, environmentally-friendly, and interconnected transportation system for India’s cities.
