Choosing MRO software is a big decision for a mid-size operator. The system holds your maintenance plan, your parts, your records and your audit trail. A poor fit costs time for years.
This guide covers 11 platforms. For each one we explain what it is, who it suits, the main features, how it is deployed and one thing to check in a demo. We took the facts from each vendor's own materials. Where a vendor does not say something, we leave it out. We do not rank the products.
What MRO software does
MRO stands for maintenance, repair and overhaul. MRO software helps you plan checks, issue work orders, track parts and keep the records that regulators ask for. Some products also handle finance, flight operations and mobile work for technicians.

AMOS (Swiss AviationSoftware)
What it is. AMOS is an aircraft maintenance and engineering system from Swiss AviationSoftware. The company says it draws on more than 35 years of aviation software experience.
Who it suits. Swiss-AS names airlines, MRO providers and aviation organisations. It says AMOS suits organisations of all sizes and is used by hundreds of organisations across five continents.
Main features. Core and optional modules, AMOSeTL for the electronic tech log, AMOSmobile for work on the move, and AMOShub and interfaces for linking other systems.
Deployment. Swiss-AS lists flexible deployment options and an AMOScloud hosting service.
Check in a demo. Ask to see the mobile apps and the tech log working together with the core system, not as separate slides.
TRAX
What it is. TRAX offers eMRO, which it describes as an ERP system that brings every part of aircraft maintenance into one platform. It also offers eMobility, role-based mobile and web apps for paperless work.
Who it suits. The TRAX site states a count of more than 100 customers on 6,000 aircraft. Ask which operators are most like yours.
Main features. eMRO, eMobility and pairing solutions.
Deployment. Cloud hosting of eMRO and eMobility is the option the site describes.
Check in a demo. Ask which modules your price covers, and which are separate.
Veryon (Tracking and Tracking+)

Who it suits. Veryon names business and general aviation, commercial aviation, helicopter operators, MROs and OEMs.
Main features. Tracking covers maintenance tracking, inventory, work orders and flight operations. Tracking+ covers fleet management, MRO management, inventory and business support.
Deployment. Veryon describes its platform as cloud-hosted software sold by subscription.
Check in a demo. Ask which product in the range fits your fleet today, and what moving from Tracking to Tracking+ would involve.
Ramco Aviation
What it is. Ramco sells aviation enterprise software for maintenance, fleet management and defence. It says the software powers more than 4,000 aircraft and 24,000 users.
Who it suits. MROs, defence organisations, helicopter operators, drone and eVTOL operators, and airlines.
Main features. Modules for MRO, maintenance and engineering, defence asset management, flight operations and fleet technical management. Ramco says it supports mixed fleets on one platform and paperless mobile work.
Deployment. The Ramco aviation page does not state deployment options. Ask for them in writing.
Check in a demo. Ask to see a mixed fleet, such as fixed wing and helicopters, set up in one system.
OASES (Commsoft)
What it is. OASES is aviation maintenance and engineering software from Commsoft in the UK.
Who it suits. Airlines, MROs and CAMOs.
Main features. Maintenance planning, work orders, defect tracking, parts and technical records, with a mobile version.
Deployment. Ask Commsoft which options it offers for your size of operation.
Check in a demo. Ask how the mobile version syncs with the main system when a technician is offline.
CAMP Systems
What it is. CAMP Systems offers Aircraft Health Management tools. These include CAMP Maintenance Management, Engine Health Monitoring, Inventory Management and Flight Scheduling.
Who it suits. CAMP lists corporate flight departments, owners and pilots, managed fleets, CAMO services and helicopter operations.
Main features. Electronic work orders and signatures, a maintenance program manager, an AD and SB manager, fleet analytics, a mobile app and a document manager.
Deployment. CAMP describes web and mobile tools.
Check in a demo. Ask to see how the work order, the maintenance program and the AD and SB manager connect.
IFS (Maintenix and IFS Cloud)
What it is. IFS offers aviation maintenance management through Maintenix and IFS Cloud. Maintenix came to IFS when it bought Mxi Technologies. See our IFS Aerospace and Defense page.
Who it suits. IFS markets Maintenix to commercial and defence fleets.
Main features. IFS describes compliance controls, configuration management, planning tools that aim to shorten turnaround, links to the supply chain, live progress views and an aviation analytics module.
Deployment. IFS says Maintenix can run on-premise or in the cloud, self-managed or as software as a service.
Check in a demo. Ask how long a project like yours usually takes, and what your team must supply.

What it is. CORRIDOR is aviation service software from Continuum Applied Technology, which is now part of the CAMP Systems family.
Who it suits. FBOs, repair stations, operators, MROs and completion centres.
Main features. Electronic maintenance workflows, a compliance module that links due items to work orders and quotes, and electronic signatures and record keeping. It works with CAMP Systems and passes task cards between the two products.
Deployment. Ask Continuum which options are current.
Check in a demo. Ask to see a quote turn into a work order, and then into closed compliance records.

How to choose
- Start with your business. A flight department, an airline, a repair station and a parts seller need different things.
- List your must-haves. Think records, parts, mobile work, finance and links to other systems.
- Use the same scenario for every demo. Pick a real defect, a part order and an audit request.
- Ask about your data. Who moves your old records, and how are they checked?
- Talk to a similar operator. A reference tells you more than a brochure.

FAQs
What is aviation MRO software?
It is software that plans maintenance, tracks parts and records, and helps an operator show that work follows the rules.
What is the difference between maintenance tracking and a full MRO system?
Tracking tools focus on due items and records. A full MRO system also covers work orders, parts, planning and often finance.
Is cloud or on-premise better?
It depends on your IT team, your rules and your internet access at the hangar. Ask each vendor which options it offers.
How long does it take to switch systems?
It depends on your data and fleet. Ask each vendor for a plan and talk to a similar operator.
How should I test MRO software in a demo?
Give each vendor the same real scenario, such as a defect, a part order and an audit request, and compare the results.
