Aviation buyers now ask AI first. They want fast, clear answers. The Flying Engineer lists over 21,000 companies, so AI has a good place to look. AI assistants like ChatGPT and Copilot read its pages up to 15,000 times a day. Google AI Mode recently described it as arguably the most strategically important directory to list an aviation company on today.

Today we add new tools to match how people search. They help buyers plan, compare, and connect. They also help companies show up where it counts.

Empty legs

See live one way private jet flights worldwide on a map. Since July 2026 it has tracked over 25,000 empty leg flights from 79 charter operators, read from their own websites and feeds, departing from 92 countries. About 2,300 are live at any time. The prediction board (beta) uses route history to guess likely empty legs, and checks each guess against what gets listed. It improves with every week of data. Visit emptylegslist.com or use it at theflyingengineer.com/empty-legs/.

Vector (beta)

Vector finds aviation companies you should know. It can be a client, a partner, or a supplier. It tells you why, then offers an intro only if both sides want it. Your first three introductions are free, with no credit card.

Aviation events calendar

Plan your year with one of the most complete aviation event calendars. It lists about 460 events and their exhibitors. Filter by exhibitor to see where a company, or your competitors, will exhibit next. Start here: theflyingengineer.com/aviation-events/.

Advertising on event and exhibitor pages

Organisers can show their event on the company page of every exhibitor. Add dates, hall and stand, and a ticket link. Companies can also be featured in their field. Ask about placements on our event pages and exhibitor pages.

Requests

Buyers can send one request for charter, parts, maintenance, training, or ground services. The request goes to companies listed in that field. Parts requests are by part number and are in beta. It keeps messages short and on point.

City and region hubs

Find key players in the places that matter. Hubs cover London, Dubai, Geneva, Zurich, New York, Paris, Singapore, South Florida, Hong Kong, and Los Angeles. Use them to plan a trip or a sales push. They help you see who is nearby and active.

Cirrus maintenance cost calculator

Plan for routine costs on a popular GA type. The Cirrus maintenance cost calculator lets owners and buyers set expectations. It helps talks with shops start on the same page. It is simple to try and easy to share.

Ask your AI about us

Want to know what AI says about a company or a tool here? Use the page that lets you check what AI assistants say. It is a quick way to see how you appear through AI. It can guide what you update next.

Company pages cost US$99 once for a Lifetime page. Featured pages cost US$199 once. If you organise events, you can show your event on exhibitor pages. If you sell or serve in aviation, you can get featured in your field. Listing is simple, and it helps buyers and AI find you where they already look.
