About WESTERN JET AVIATION

Western Jet Aviation was founded in 1999 and is now StandardAero VNY. It is an aircraft service center at Van Nuys Airport in Van Nuys, California. It serves business and corporate aircraft operators with maintenance, repair and overhaul work.

StandardAero acquired Western Jet Aviation in 2023. The aim was to add to its network of business aviation service centers and to support operators on the US west coast. The site says the center focuses on Gulfstream maintenance, repair and AOG support for operators in the region and around the world.

Airframe work covers scheduled and unscheduled service on select Gulfstream models. The site lists the GIII, GIV, G300, G350, G400, G450, GV, G550 and G650. It offers seven-day, three-shift coverage. Work includes calendar and hourly inspections, preventive maintenance and landing gear inspections with gear overhaul.

Avionics work includes installs, troubleshooting, repairs and engineering. It covers cabin connectivity, cabin management systems, in-flight entertainment, NextGen, FANS and CPDLC upgrades, and flight deck glass upgrades. The center also installs avionics on Bombardier Global aircraft. It sells and supports products from brands such as Collins Aerospace, Garmin, Honeywell, Bose, Satcom Direct and Starlink.

Structures work covers satcom antenna installs, composite repair, fabrication, sheet metal and corrosion repair and AOG structure repairs. Paint and interior work is offered with StandardAero SPI, and some services are on site.

The center also does engine and APU work. It is Rolls-Royce Corporate Care authorized on BR710 and Tay 611-8 engines, and Honeywell authorized on GTCP 36 APUs. Mobile teams support other engines. Parts and distribution covers consumables and engine, APU, airframe and navigation parts. The center holds FAA Part 145 approval and EASA approval. The site has a quote request link and two phone numbers.
