Way To Go Heliservices

Way To Go Heliservices is a helicopter operator based at Rangiora Airfield near Christchurch in Canterbury, New Zealand. CEO and chief pilot Rob set up the company in 2000. It flies from Rangiora and from Mount Hutt, where it trades as Mt Hutt Heliservices, and says it operates six helicopters across the two bases.

Fleet

The fleet listed on the website is made up of a Eurocopter EC130 B4 (up to 6 passengers), an MD 520N (up to 4 passengers), a Eurocopter Squirrel AS350 B2, two Robinson R44 Raven II helicopters (up to 3 passengers each) and a Robinson R22. The company says the EC130, AS350B2, MD520N and R44 helicopters are fitted with GPS tracking.

Team

Rob grew up farming in Hawke's Bay and moved into deer recovery by helicopter before learning to fly. Pilot Freddy Kittow joined the ground crew in 2017 and now holds a commercial licence with an agricultural and chemical rating, specialising in aerial spraying and topdressing.
