About Utah Helicopter

Utah Helicopter operates from Spanish Fork, Utah, with additional bases in West Jordan and St. George. It combines helicopter flight training, scenic tours and commercial flying, using Robinson R22, R44 and R66 aircraft.

Flight training

Programs listed on the site are private pilot, commercial pilot, instrument rating, CFI and CFII, an R66 transition course and a career pilot program. Discovery flights start with a 15-minute safety briefing and a flight with a certified flight instructor. Students can pay as they go, financial aid is offered through an alliance with Stratus Financial, and they can enrol in an aviation science degree program alongside flight training.

Tours

Tours run from all three bases and range from 15 minutes to an hour. Examples include Provo and Y Mountain, the Alpine Loop and Mount Timpanogos from Spanish Fork, downtown Salt Lake City, Antelope Island and Park City from West Jordan, and Snow Canyon and the Zion park boundary from St. George. Seasonal options include a waterfall tour, fall colour flights and Christmas light flights. Each passenger gets a headset and photos are allowed. Custom tours and proposal flights are also offered.
