United Companies Air Center

United Companies Air Center is an FBO and FAA authorized repair station at Evansville Regional Airport, 6101 Flightline Drive, Evansville, Indiana. It started as Tri-State Aero, Inc. in Mt. Vernon, Indiana, on April 1, 1963, and moved to Evansville on January 1, 1965. Today it is a division of United Companies.

Services

The repair station (AHTR102C) holds Airframe Class 1 and Class 3, Powerplant Class 1, limited radio and limited instrument ratings. It also has field-level maintenance ratings for Pratt & Whitney JT15D and PT6A engines. United has been a Cirrus Authorized Service Center for more than 20 years and is also an authorized Piper service center. Technicians support the Beechjet 400 and 400A, King Air 90, 100, 200 and 300, Cessna, Cirrus and Piper aircraft, and Continental engines, with factory and FlightSafety training.

FBO and facilities

The FBO has over 200,000 sq ft of ramp and over 100,000 sq ft of hangar space. It sells Avfuel Jet A and 100LL and is a military fuel contractor. Line service is NATA Safety 1st trained. Facilities include gas and electric GPUs, detailing, catering, a crew car and on-site rental cars, pilot and passenger lounges, a quiet room, a flight planning room and a conference room.
