Ultimate Aviation

Ultimate Aviation is a South African group that describes itself as specialising in air services in remote and difficult working environments. Its headquarters are in South Africa, with operations in more than 15 countries, mainly across Africa. The helicopter business is branded Ultimate HELI, and a separate company, Ultimate Air, runs fixed-wing cargo and passenger flights.

Offshore Helicopter Services

Offshore Helicopter Services (OHS) is based in Aberdeen, Scotland and has operated there for over 20 years, carrying crews for the North Sea energy sector from Aberdeen and Sumburgh. It flies a mixed fleet of Sikorsky S92A, Airbus H175 and Leonardo AW139 helicopters. For more than 15 years it has operated an industry search and rescue service from Aberdeen using two AW139 helicopters. The company states that it holds a UK CAA AOC, Part CAMO, Part-145 and Part-FCL approvals, plus ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certification.

Ultimate Heliport and maintenance

Ultimate Heliport in Midrand was completed on 1 December 2018 and is described as South Africa's first privately owned heliport. The first phase covers 8 hectares with 3,100 square metres of hangars, offices, a maintenance facility, boardrooms and a lounge, and houses over 40 helicopters. Ultimate Aviation Technical is a South African Civil Aviation approved maintenance organisation offering third party maintenance on Airbus, Bell and Cessna aircraft.
