360 Aviation

360 Aviation describes itself as "The Helicopter Professionals". The company is based at Wonderboom National Airport in Pretoria, South Africa, and combines pilot training, charter flying, tours, aerial work, aircraft sales and maintenance under one roof. Its website says the business began as a dream in early 2012.

Services

• Helicopter pilot training for recreational, commercial and instructor ratings, including a train-to-instruct package
• Commercial flying: scenic flights and tours, airport and lodge transfers, weddings, picnics, sundowners and aerial photography
• Game capture, including mass capture, chemical capture and game census
• Aerial filming and photography
• Hire and fly, aircraft hangarage, new and used aircraft sales and maintenance
• Heli safaris, multi-country flying tours across southern and eastern Africa

Training

The flight school operates at an airport with a working control tower, so students learn radio work from the start, and the designated training areas are about five minutes from take-off. Instructors are also active charter pilots. Owners can train on their own helicopter, and an in-house maintenance facility gives students exposure to the mechanical side. Courses listed include the Private Pilot Licence, which needs a minimum of 50 flight hours, and the Commercial Pilot Licence.

Fleet

The fleet page lists Robinson R22, R44 and R66 helicopters, Bell 206 JetRanger and LongRanger, Airbus AS350 and the Aerospatiale Gazelle.
