About Uganda Airlines

Uganda Airlines is the national passenger and cargo airline of Uganda. It runs scheduled flights across East Africa and to some nearby international markets. The airline says it plans to grow its network to Southern Africa, Europe, the Middle East and the Far East.

Its stated vision is to be the airline of choice for business and leisure travellers. Its mission is to give a memorable, safe, convenient, affordable, reliable and friendly travel experience. The airline also lists five values that spell the word CRANE: committed, reliable, accountable, nimble and ethical.

The route list covers many countries. In Africa it names Burundi, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, Rwanda, Somalia, South Africa, South Sudan, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe. Beyond Africa it lists Mumbai in India, Dubai in the United Arab Emirates and London Gatwick in the United Kingdom. The home airport is Entebbe in Uganda.

Passengers can book one way, round trip and multi city flights on the website. They can manage a booking, check in online from 24 hours before departure and check flight status. They can also pick a preferred seat, buy extra baggage and add paid lounge access. The site offers three cabins: business class, premium economy and economy class.

The airline also offers help for travellers with special needs. Its pages cover children travelling alone, infants and toddlers, expectant mothers and special assistance. Other pages cover baggage rules, visas, health requirements and ways to pay.

Beyond ticket sales, the airline sells holiday packages, hotels and group bookings. It takes charter requests and runs a cargo service. A loyalty program called Crane Flyer gives members extra benefits. Corporate customers have their own section.

The Uganda Airlines website has the timetable, route map and fare deals. It also has customer service pages, a complaints form and the conditions of carriage. Visitors can use it to plan a trip or learn about the airline.
