UAS Colorado

UAS Colorado is a non-profit business league for the unmanned aircraft community in Colorado. The group describes itself as the state's only 501(c)6 not-for-profit business league for unmanned aircraft. Its mission is to champion the Colorado unmanned aircraft ecosystem. Its vision is for Colorado to lead globally in unmanned aircraft technology for the good of all.

The group supports the safe integration and use of unmanned aircraft systems across the state. It says it serves commercial, government and private uses of these aircraft. The group acts as an entry point for the Colorado UAS community and represents Colorado's UAS industry at trade shows across the country.

Public policy is a major focus. The group works with Colorado legislators to prevent laws and rules that would harm the industry, and to support legislation that helps it grow. It also says it aims to influence national UAS guidelines.

On safety, the group shares current FAA, state and local guidelines. The group sponsors the Rocky Mountain UAS Professionals meetup group. This is an industry forum for discussions, events, meetings and professional contacts. The group says it helped set up a six county UAS flight area in the San Luis Valley, which covers a 120 by 80 mile area. The group also lists UAS ranges and test centers around the state.
