Twist Aero

Twist Aero is a US manufacturer of aviation ground support equipment and metal fabricator based in Ohio. It designs, manufactures, finishes, installs and supports GSE for airports and airlines, with more than 2,500 units in operation at 126 airports across North America. All products are designed, built, assembled and tested in the company's ten Ohio factories using domestic material suppliers, under ISO 9001 quality practices. Twist Aero has more than 20 years in the GSE business and describes itself as a financially stable, debt-free, privately held company.

PCA, GPU, Boom Air, pantographs and hose reels are approved under Buy American, Build American and VALE funding programmes, and the company lists UL certification among its credentials.

Installation and service

Twist Aero provides turnkey installation with its own experienced team, with thousands of installations completed, and emphasises customer service backed by resources to maintain equipment after delivery. A large engineering staff works on continuous product improvement and custom design options, and in-house metal fabrication and finishing let the company customise equipment and respond quickly to customer needs with competitive pricing from reduced outsourcing.

Projects

Reference installations on the site include United Airlines at Charlotte Douglas, George Bush Intercontinental and Newark Liberty, the latter with 18 PCAs (four 45-ton and fourteen 90-ton DX units); Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport; and Spirit Airlines at Baltimore-Washington International with two 60-ton and two 120-ton AHUs and six Boom Air systems.
