Teknopark İstanbul A.Ş.

Teknopark Istanbul is a technology park in Turkey. The site describes it as one of the largest technology development zones in Turkey. It hosts hundreds of research and development centres and companies. Its main areas are defence industry technologies, aviation and space technologies, maritime technologies, and advanced electronics.

The site says work on the park began in 1987 under a decision of the Defence Industry Executive Committee. The park was officially established in 2010. Its founding partners are the Defence Industry Presidency (SSB), the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (ITO), Havaalani Isletme ve Havacilik Endustrileri A.S. (HEAS), STM and Istanbul Commerce University. The general manager is Prof. Dr. Abdurrahman Akyol.

The site describes an incubation service called Cube Girisim Ofisi. It offers early stage technology start-ups incubation, acceleration, lab infrastructure, mentoring, consulting, investor meetings and tax advantages. Companies can also apply for office space, land allocation and a pre-incubation programme.

The site says firms in the park work with major defence companies, including ASELSAN, ROKETSAN and TUSAS. It says the park has tax incentives as a technology development zone. The park also offers technical services, research and development and exemption services, and government support services.

The park publishes a quarterly magazine focused on defence industry topics. It also runs training, events and seminars. Programmes listed on the site include Havelsan Jet Cube, Deep Defence and a patent acceleration programme. The site has a news page and press releases.

The site offers a contact form, an e-newsletter sign up, and social media links on Facebook, X, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube. No phone number is listed on the page. Applications for the incubation centre are made through the site.
