About Technology for Energy Corp / Aviation Division

Technology for Energy Corp, or TEC, designs diagnostic and monitoring instruments. Its Aviation Division serves aircraft operators and maintainers. The company also works in nuclear power, materials testing and connected products. It describes itself as an employee-owned company.

TEC builds specialized instruments, embedded systems and rapid prototypes. Its stated goal is to help aircraft, power grids and industrial equipment run safely and efficiently. The tools aim to find problems before they turn into failures.

The aviation product line is called ACES. These are balance and vibration analyzers for aircraft. The designs are rugged and compact. They include SmartTach engine speed measurement and flexible multi-channel inputs. TEC says technicians use them to get accurate data and solve issues quickly in maintenance settings.

One project involves a restored B-29 bomber known as DOC. ACES Systems and TEC are part of its restoration. An onboard vibration monitoring system will give balancing solutions and real-time vibration data.

The materials testing business is called Dynamis Labs and was formerly Materials Testing. Since 1982, TEC has supplied X-ray diffraction systems. These measure residual stress and retained austenite in metal and ceramic parts. Customers use the results to check process changes, find the cause of failures and improve product quality.

TEC-Nuclear has served nuclear power plants for over four decades. Its products monitor critical safety systems. The company says every product is made under strict quality standards and regular audits. The Nuclear Procurement Issues Committee, known as NUPIC, audits its quality program from time to time.

Testing services help customers prove a new process, trace failures or improve product performance. TEC says tests such as residual stress analysis find risks before they become costly problems. The company says it delivers data that customers can act on. The website lists the product areas and asks visitors to request a quote. It also shows a line saying aerospace and defense organizations trust the company.
