SunState Aviation provides career and private pilot training in Florida and California. The company operates flight school campuses in Kissimmee, Florida, Long Beach, California, and San Diego, California. SunState is powered by Academy of Aviation and serves both domestic and international students who want to become professional or recreational pilots.

The school offers commercial pilot programs and recreational flying lessons. Students can enroll in a 100-hour multi-engine program to build advanced flight experience. SunState Aviation is one of only four Delta Propel affiliate flight schools in the United States. Flight instructors who work at the school may apply to the Delta Propel program when they are within 12 months of meeting R-ATP or ATP requirements. Selection is competitive. Once accepted, candidates complete a single Propel interview and receive a Qualified Job Offer from Delta Air Lines. This offer carries them through Endeavor Air, a Delta Connection carrier, to the Delta flight deck.

The school accepts Veterans Affairs benefits and the GI Bill for vocational flight training at eligible campuses. Third-party financing is available through independent lenders including Sallie Mae for eligible career pilot programs. SunState does not provide loans directly. The school also runs a referral program where students earn a one thousand dollar flight training credit when a referred student enrolls in the private to commercial pilot program. The credit applies sixty days after the referral starts school and payment is confirmed.

Through October 2026, SunState offers a time-based incentive that provides up to six thousand five hundred dollars in additional flight time. Students who finish training in twelve months or less receive twenty-five bonus single-engine flight hours. Those who finish in thirteen to seventeen months receive fifteen bonus hours, and those who finish in eighteen to twenty-four months receive five bonus hours. Students enrolled in the one hundred hour multi-engine program may convert these bonus hours into multi-engine time, with a total potential value of up to sixteen thousand two hundred fifty dollars.
