About Star Marianas Air

STAR Marianas Air is a U.S. regional commuter airline. It serves the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands and Guam. The company is an air carrier that operates scheduled flights and charter flights.

The site lists scheduled flights from Saipan to Tinian, from Saipan to Rota, and from Rota to Guam. Passenger and cargo charter flights can also be arranged. The site has pages for flight schedules, pricing, bookings and a fleet page.

The company's name comes from the first letters of the islands of Saipan, Tinian, Aguiguan and Rota. It was founded in 2008. The FAA gave it initial certification as an on demand air carrier, effective April 1, 2009. Its first flight was a charter between Tinian and Saipan on April 2, 2009.

The site says the fleet grew to 11 aircraft by 2016. Those were five Navajo Chieftains and six Cherokee Sixes. The company had 115 employees. The site says it flew nearly 200 flights a day between the islands that year.

In October 2018, Super Typhoon Yutu damaged Tinian and Saipan. The site says the company sheltered its aircraft in a hangar on Tinian or flew them to Guam, and all of them survived. Within 24 hours, the airline flew relief goods to Tinian. It then ran flights from a tent and carried more than 3,000 passengers in the weeks after the storm.

The site lists reservation phone numbers at +1-670-433-9996, 9997 and 9998. It has contact groups for inquiries, reservations, stations, maintenance and parts, and finance. It also has pages on baggage policies, FAQs, terms and conditions and careers.
