Solomon Airlines Ltd

Solomon Airlines is the national carrier of the Solomon Islands, founded in 1962 as Megapode Airways. It became Solomon Island Airways in 1968 and was fully acquired by the Solomon Islands Government in 1984. Since then, it has grown into a major air transport provider across the Pacific region.

The airline is based in Honiara with additional offices in Brisbane, Australia and Nadi, Fiji. It operates a fleet of seven aircraft, including an Airbus A320-200 named "Spirit of Solomons" for international flights, and a Dash 8 along with three Twin Otters for domestic services within the Solomon Islands. Solomon Airlines carries over 100,000 passengers annually and employs more than 250 people, with 95% of staff locally based.
